An Interview With Savio Clemente

Thank you so much for joining us in this interview series! Before we dive in, our readers would love to know how you got from “there to here.” Inspire us with your backstory!

For most of my life, I lived on autopilot. I worked hard to make my life look great on paper — a happy family, a fulfilling career, and a comfortable home. But inside, I was navigating deep emotional stress, unprocessed anxiety, and a sense of disconnect. I felt like I was watching my life from the outside. Parenthood and the pandemic forced me to confront my inner world. Daily walks, deep self-reflection, and listening to The Adult Chair® podcast unlocked something in me. I slowed down enough to listen to my intuition, which led me to become a life coach. Now, I help moms who have made it on the outside feel great about themselves on the inside so they can enjoy their lives, kids, and families.

What lessons would you share with yourself if you had the opportunity to meet your younger self?

I would tell her: You are not responsible for how others feel, but you are responsible for how you act. I used to be vigilant about “making sure” (in air quotes because it’s an impossible task) that the people around me were happy so that I could be calm and content. Not only was that unhealthy, but I was denying myself and my loved ones the chance to get to know the authentic me.

I would tell my younger self: You are enough. I would also encourage her to slow down and trust herself more. Every answer she is looking for is already within her.
